Your Portrait or Look-A-Like doll will be handcrafted in the likeness of the individual pictured in the submitted photograph. A portrait doll is much like a painting that represents the artist's interpretation of the subject. They are not an exact duplicate of the individual; nor are they a hand sculptured statue of the subject.

Another example might be the color or texture of hair. While we will come as close as possible, there are only so many shades of each color and styles available in doll wigs. While discussing hair, we should also point out that doll wigs, due to their construction, tend to be quite "full" and cannot accurately represent a "thin head of hair".

Finally, teeth, and some open mouth poses can represent construction and finishing problems, and may require some latitude from the photograph. We will do our best, but must work within the limits we have outlined here.

The following example is the cost estimates for children 6 months to 6 years old. Children/young adults and ladies and gentlemen. The cost averages $180 to $400.  Age of the subject and the size of the doll will determine the cost.

Dolls have porcelain hands, legs, head and some have porcelain shoulder plate. Bodies are cloth with "Loctite" plastic skeletal armature enabling your doll to be posed is different positions.

We also have vinyl dolls which can be handcrafted into "look alike" dolls of children.
